Richard Smith, Director of Chartered Surveyors, Fifield Glyn has reported extraordinary interest in Brunel Court on Gadbrook Court following the acquisition and refurbishment by MCR Properties.
MCR Properties acquired the office scheme Brunel Court at Gadbrook Park, Nr. Northwich prior to Christmas and carried out a comprehensive refurbishment on 11 of the 14 units that had been vacant for several years. The high quality scheme has led to unprecedented interest leading to 8 of the units being sold, let or in Solicitors’ hands since the turn of the New Year. The self-contained offices ranging in size from 1,500 to 3,000 sq.ft. with parking, have been snapped up by local occupiers. Richard Smith from the Sole Agents, Fifield Glyn (01606 351351) comments “The demand for these offices has been quite exceptional. MCR Properties made the bold move to buy this largely vacant development and transform it into high quality, fully refurbished, self-contained offices which have been offered for sale or to let. This clearly demonstrates a good level of demand for the right product and limited supply in the current market, particularly for freeholds.”

Gadbrook Park BID2 Offcially commences!
Gadbrook Park BID 2 officially
commenced on the 1st November 2014, after the positive ‘yes’ vote
achieved over the summer saw the vision to secure a consecutive Business
Improvement District for the next five years become successful and the hopes for
a further 5 years of investment worth over £1 million become a reality.
With a 68% turnout, a figure
well above the national average of 40%, it was clear that the desire amongst
resident businesses to continue the good work and expand on everything that had
been achieved in the past five years was exceptionally strong. This was further
demonstrated by the fact that BID 2 was voted in with a resounding majority of 96%
by number and 98% by rateable value. This excellent result demonstrates the
value resident businesses have placed on the services and projects delivered by
the Gadbrook Park BID, with these percentages representing some of the highest
BID voting stats in the entire country.
The succession of the BID will
now ensure that Gadbrook Park can continue to be an exceptional environment to
work and trade in for both employees and businesses alike.
Groundwork Cheshire will
continue to manage the BID for the duration of the next 5 years, delivering the
essential services and projects that will continue to aid all companies on the
park to develop and thrive.
This further investment
provided by BID 2 will also allow for the on-going landscape maintenance and
improvement works to continue, all essential in ensuring Gadbrook Park sustains
its current high quality image. In addition, a new 24/7 CCTV project will be
commissioned to provide Business Park wide coverage of all public open space to
further enhance security across Gadbrook Park.
Further image enhancing projects are also in the pipeline, with a
programme of physical landscape and street furniture improvements planned to be
undertaken in the grounds over the next five years.
The continuation in to BID 2
will now ensure that the companies on Gadbrook Park can look forward to the
sustained delivery of the essential projects and services that the BID provides
and enjoy the investment that will see Gadbrook Park will develop even further
as one of the best premier locations to trade and conduct business in the North
West.
Mike Roberts – Chair of Gadbrook Park BID 2
commented “It is excellent that the businesses on Gadbrook Park have truly
embraced the BID, as is evident by the remarkable voting stats. BID 2 will mean
we can all continue to benefit from the essential services the BID delivers and
see the park improve even further as a result.”
Jane Hough – BID Project Manager at Groundwork
Cheshire commented “I am absolutely delighted that Gadbrook Park has been successful in
securing BID 2 and that Groundwork can continue to work with the companies on
the Business Park to develop a brighter future. We have lots of exciting
projects planned going forward over the next five years and we will look
forward to carrying on the good work that everyone has achieved.”
Mike Jones – Leader of Cheshire West and
Chester Council commented “It is absolutely fantastic to see the
businesses on Gadbrook Park taking control and creating a future that is in
their own hands. The Council will be delighted to support all companies on the
park with regards to the improvement of any opportunities that will boost both
trading and employment at Gadbrook.”
