Report a Fault Nick Brown, Surveyor at Fifield Glyn’s Mayfair Office, entered the Snowdonia Charity Challenge on the 9th June 2018 with 3 friends from University (Rob Clowes, Wayne Tyson and Adam Drury). The event was in aid of Regain Sports Charity who help man and women paralysed by sporting injuries by providing support, wheelchair bikes, computers and standing beds to help people lead as independent life as possible.
The event consisted of teams of four over five different ‘legs’ with the clock stopping when each team member had crossed the line.
1st – a steep largely uphill 20mile cycle from Llanberis to the foot of Snowdon (Rhyd Ddu Path)
2nd – a fell run up to the summit of Snowdon and back down the same path
3rd – a 10 mile cycle around to the shore of Llyn Gwynant (Lake Gwynant)
4th – four man canoe around Lake Gwynant
5th – a cycle up to Pen y Pass then down to the Start/Finish point
Nicks team ‘Onwards & Upwards’ were the second fastest team to complete the challenge clocking a total time of 6 hrs 25 minutes, plus they were also the fastest team to the top and back down of Snowdon achieving this in 2hours 20minutes!
‘Onwards and Upwards’ have so far raised £1,480 with a target of £2,000 to be reached.
